I started paint the blurs today. First, I painted a reasonable amount of paint that was the same color as the tights all long the side of the left leg. Then, I put retarder on it and, using a fat, bristled brush, started flicking the paint outwards to create that motion effect. I did this a couple of times to build up the color without making it too thick. I did the same thing with the shoe, by using that same shadow color. I realized that it was way too dark, especially in comparison to the blurs of the leg, so I went back in with a dry brush and started wiping some of the paint off. I like the transparent look, but I feel like there is something off. I will have to see rather it looks better once I do the same thing to the other leg. I might also do the same technique to the legs in the middle to really make sure the legs look like they are moving. I have a lot to do next time, since it is my last day. I'm a little worried, but I will try my absolute hardest to paint something I'm proud of!
